 One of the key national units for the protection of historic relics, the Liji Medical School was founded in 1885 AD of the Qing Dynasty by ChenQiu, Chen Fuchen, Chen Baoshan and He Diqi. The school seats itself in the north with the door and windows facing the south, with a mixed stucture of bricks and wood containing two rows of buildings in an enclosed compound. It was the first new type reformed medical school of herbalist doctor, which combined western school system with innovated methods, thus making an important contribution to the inheritaqnce and development of the traditional medicine of China.
